Energy Efficiency

CFL
Increasing energy efficiency is the the fastest and cheapest way to reduce your environmental impact and carbon footprint, reduce the harmful air pollutants in your community, contribute to the growth of the local green economy, and save money, all at the same time. There are a number of resources available for congregations interested in increasing their energy efficiency.

The Energy Efficiency Cycle:

Step One: Get an Energy Audit or conduct one yourself using the IPL Cool Congregations Program

Step Two: Develop an Energy Action Plan - the more speciic, the better

Step Three: Pick the "Low Hanging Fruit" by making easy and inexpensive changes first, then work your way up to larger investments.

Step Four: Track your progress and continue to review your Energy Action Plan from time to time.
